January Blues

I have got a bad case of the January blues. I was talking to my fiance and we both, in all seriousness, agreed we could be happy living in a Groundhog Day type of scenario where we live an relive a perpetual Christmas holiday. We considered the fact that only we would know we were reliving it, and our families and friends would never change, and that we would be stuck in a never-ending winter of the same weather, and we didn't really understand where aging and the concept of infinity came into the whole Groundhog Day scenario because love solved all their problems before they got to that.

So, I've been wearing a lot of blue. To represent how I'm feeling on the inside, on the outside. I even wore denim on denim. So very blue.

I have to say, if there were a season to be stuck in forever, I would definitely choose fall and winter.

Resolution

Well, I've broken most of my new year's resolutions already, especially trying to blog daily. The problem is likely that I usually phrase my resolutions with "try," as in "try not to eat 2 pieces of cake per night." That means when I eat 3 pieces of cake, I still technically tried not to. This way I can eternally rationalize whether or not I am actually failing at achieving my goals.

Today I actually changed into sweats and then changed back into my work outfit just to get this picture (that's my why hair is...the way it is). That's how much resolve I had. It only took me 9 days.
